Boys Development Squad (U6 and below)

Our club development squad looks to introduce children to the fun and enjoyment of football!

Sessions are held weekly from September – May for the following age groups:-

• U4/U5 age groups (Pre-reception & Reception) – Friday evening 5-6pm, Guiseley School
• U6 age group (Year 1) – Sunday morning 9-10am, Nethermoor all weather pitch, Guiseley AFC

U4/U5 age groups (Pre-reception & Reception)

• Sessions are focused on basic skills, drills and agility
• Aim to ensure the children have the opportunity to master ball skills way ahead of match situations at later age groups
• Focus is very much on having fun!
• Pay-as-you-go sessions on a weekly basis

U6 age group (Year 1)

• Sessions set up with a view to progressing into teams in the following season
• Ball skills and agility remain the key focus
• As the season progresses, volunteers are sought to join in with coaching sessions, take qualifications and become coaches themselves – ensuring teams can be set up for the U7 season to start the following September
• Children expected to join as part of an annual membership fee (trial sessions to check enjoyment allowed!)
