Become a Coach

If you would like to become a coach at Guiseley Junior Football Club, please speak to your child’s existing manager or coach in the first instance to understand what help you can bring, and what is required.

Once you would like to join the coaching team, please contact the Club Secretary using the details at the bottom of this page.

To begin helping at training sessions, you need a minimum of a Enhanced DBS check to have been carried out by the club and for permission to be given for you to be involved as a helper.

The club will do this for you once you contact them and you provide some basic details.

Thereafter, we ideally look for all our coaches to take the following qualifications:-

  • FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification
  • FA Emergency First Aid qualification; and
  • FA Safeguarding Children qualification

These are enjoyable and relatively straightforward qualifications which will aid you in becoming a better coach!

Having these qualifications means that you can take responsibility for teams at matches as well as training sessions.
