Team organisational changes for 2013/14 Season

Team organisational changes for 2013/14 Season

To all parents,
We are now at the end of our Under 8’s season and, with the exception of the Summer Gala’s, our next games will be as Under 9’s.  The last season has proved successful with all the teams gaining good results and some excellent team and individual performances.
The end of the 2012/13 season has also proven successful for two of our players who have been selected to play for representative sides of two local professional teams.  Sam B (Whites) has signed to play for Leeds next year and Eddie G has been given a chance at Bradford.  Well done to both and good luck in the next season, we all wish you well.

Sadly this also means we will be losing Graham and Chris as coaches, and Joe has also decided to step down. We would like to say thanks for giving up your time and your commitment to the teams.

The awards night is held at Yeadon Town Hall on the 21st June, it would be great to see everyone there and a chance to show your appreciation to all the boys for a great season.Moving onto next season there will be some changes affecting all three teams.  We will be playing in a new League, (Craven League), and moving up to 7 a side games.  This will be an exciting change for us as we hope to be playing a wider variety of teams which are managed into more suitable groupings which ensure all the boys of all abilities get enjoyable and competitive games and more even scorelines.
Due to the change in league, game formats and the fact we have lost three coaches.  It has been decided that we will make changes to Blue team squad with Scott and Michael moving away to assist Damian (Whites) and Simon
(Yellows) respectively.  In terms of new coaches for the team we have 2 volunteers, who have stepped forward, in Prem (Louis Grandad) and Neil (Jacob H Dad).  Anyone else who could contribute would be more than welcome, just let us know.

As it is the close season we will now review the whole squad of players and then look to finalise players into teams.  The training sessions on Monday nights will continue through the summer until the end of the school summer term and will aid us in making the squad decisions. Your help and support in ensuring we have correct contact details and making us aware of any factors that might affect your sons availability for fixtures next season would be appreciated during this time.

Final note, we will still be using Under 8 teams and respective managers and coaches for the summer gala’s and there will be no Monday night training this coming Monday due to the Bank Holiday.
Many thanksUnder 8 Coaches
