We travelled to play against Silsden on Tuesday night. On a small compact pitch the following was the squad that played:-

We found ourselves 2-0 up at the break The first was an outstanding goal from Jack. Chesting the ball down just inside the opposition half, Jack hit the ball on the half volley and it flew over the keeper into the back of the net. The goal brought applause from around the whole pitch. Our second goal came from a great marauding run by Joseph who found Geno. Geno’s cross was missed by the defender and it fell to Joseph who fired home.
Second Half
We went three up after Joseph was fouled. From the resulting free kick, Jack curled the ball around the wall and into the corner of the net. Silsden then got a goal back folllowing a crisp cross shot into the corner of the net. We finished the game with two further goals, both by Joseph. The first was a firm shot following a goal mouth scramble. The second was a fine shot in the closing seconds from outside the area that flew past the keeper into the net.
