Guiseley Yellows 7-0 Keighley Shamrocks Crusaders (U9)

With the league title in the bag, the champions entertained Keighley last Saturday at St Peters.

With Jaiden out due to illness Samuel was called up as his replacement. But it was a very relaxed party atmosphere, but the Uk weather never ceases to amaze, with hailstorms forcing a break mid way through the first half.

Charlie opened the scoring, with his 40th of the season, Niall got the second and Charlie notched his second of the game, to see us 3-0 up at half time.

With multiple changes being made during the game and a jig round in positions saw Josh & Will getting their first goals of the season, with James and Joseph completing the win.

It was good to see the boys played out of their normal positions as the result wasn’t really important today, but still all involved today played their part in another good team performance.

MOM today went unanimously to Will, who was ever reliable at right back in the first half and then turned into a star striker in the second alongside his partner in crime James. Big thanks to Rick for reffing the game in the absence of Craig.

Tuesday we have our last league game of the season at home to Silsden Knights (6.30ko) and we then have our final game of the season on Sunday, a friendly at home to Calverley (11.30ko) where the boys will have the league trophy presented to them. Hope to see everyone at both games.

Cheers Craig
