Guiseley Whites U7s v Calverley A

Guiseley Whites U7s v Calverley A

After a slow start by the boys, they eventually got into the rhythm they are used to.

With Thomas pulling off some good saves in goal and distributing the ball well to the areas we practiced in training, allowing Jack & Sam to cause  problems. A well taken goal from Jack and a spectacular freekick from Liam allowed the boys to go in at half time in the lead.

In the second half Sam went in goal and did a great job. Max continued to do well in defence and Gene caused problems up front. It took 2 great goals for Thomas and another goal from Liam to give the boys a commanding lead, but Calverley had not read the Guiseley script and began a comeback.

The boys did well to hold on to make it another proud day for parents and coaches.

Man of the match – Thomas

Did very well in goal then came out in second half to score 2 and defend when called upon.
