Guiseley Greens v Leeds Maccabi Jets Sunday 21st October

Guiseley Greens v Leeds Maccabi Jets Sunday 21st October

Second home game of the season for the Greens and again we were playing under blue skies.
This weeks opponents were the Leeds Maccabi Jets, with the Greens hoping to build on last weeks performance at Calverley.

Guiseley got off to a good start with Ray standing in for Keeper Matthew, for the first quarter.

First out were Ben, Callum,Daniel and Louis.  Louis had recovered from his previous weeks bug to score from a corner from Callum to get the first quarter off to a great start.

Guiseley were holding possession of the ball well in the second quarter which resulted in a goal for the ever improving Daniel.

Moving to the third quarter and it was Louis turn to get some goals with a brace, followed by Ben with one goal from a throw in. Unfortunately Ben had picked up the St. Peters school bug that struck Louis down the previous week, so was not really in the game.

Louis was in action again in the fourth with another goal to give him his first Guiseley Greens Double Brace, AKA Super Hat-Trick. Well done Louis! Not to be left out Daniel scored a mega goal from a free kick in the later part of the fourth quarter.

All in all a good performance from Guiseley with some good keeping from our keeper Mathew who kept a clean sheet for the second two quarters. Well done Matthew.

Good defending by Jack, Owen, Ray and Callum also helped to keep the clean sheet. Daniel was his usual high standard of playing every position bar keeper! Louis did a great job on the goal scoring front. Ben gave it his best, but wasn’t really match fit.

Man of the match was Louis. Well done!

Well done Team Green!
