Guiseley Blues 4 – 6 Guiseley Yellow

Tough game today against a good guiseley blue squad with some quality in their side.

Blues started the stronger and opened the scoring, but Tom equalized and we started again. Blues went ahead again and this time Fred replied for the yellows. Fred’s first goal for us, well done.  We knew we were in for a tough game. Stephen then went into overdrive and bagged two  lovely goals, one of them a scissor kick!  4-2 to yellows, but unfortunately we went sleep and blues walked through us twice in a matter of minutes to level things up 4-4 at half time.

After a chat from Bill and Mark the boys knew what they could do and came out in the second half very determined. They dominated the second half and Jamie put us 5-4 up after some great work down the wing. Celebration was noted Jamie!  Soon after Jamie and Declan teamed again, Jamie taking on a player and putting a lovely pass into Declan who took on two players before slotting home the ball nicely in the bottom corner, making the score 6-4 in favour of the Yellows.

A good, deserved win in the end, Yellows playing okay in the first half but allowing opposition in and not closing down quick enough, however, second half they listened and played very well. All we can ask for.

Well done boys.
