Eldwick ‘B’ v Guiseley Greens Sunday 4th November

Eldwick ‘B’ v Guiseley Greens Sunday 4th November

Guiseley Greens were away to Eldwick ‘B’ for this Sunday’s game, which brought the first really cold and foggy weather with it.

Eldwick got off to a great start with a quick goal which put us on the back foot. Guiseley decided to step it up a gear and get themselves back into the game with a good run from Daniel who leatherd it into the back of the net.
Not content with this Daniel scored again from a run to put Guiseley in front.

From this point forward Guiseley took control of the game and had most of the possession, after weeks of training on passing the ball into space something clicked with the Greens.
We started to move the ball around with plenty of passing, in under 7’s football this is a key ingredient to success.

Callum was next up for a goal resulting from a run, then the passing kicked in.

Louis got one from a assist from Ben who then returned the favor as Ben got one from  Louis assist.
Ben then got another from  an assist from Callum.

That was it for the first half, Guiseley had taken the lead and were in a commanding position.

Second half:

Fewer goals in the second half, however the defense kept a clean sheet for the final 20 minutes.
Eldwick upped their game in defense too, so it was a bit more nip and tuck.

One man stood out in this half, Daniel, who first scored again from an assist by Callum, who had been on a run.
Louis appeares again on the score sheet from a goal mouth scramble.

Now for the goal of the week from Daniel, with a magnificent run culminating in a thundering shot from just outside the penalty area, a true net buster!

Overall another fine performance for the green machine, with a definite improvement week on week.
Next Sunday brings the big game when 4 of the Guiseley teams meet in el clasico.
Non of these teams have lost this season and won’t want to on Sunday!

Man of the match was Owen.
