11th May Guiseley U16 win League Cup and secure Treble to
enter the history books
U16’s enter Guiseley history books as the first team
to achieve the treble – Wining the League, District Cup &
League Cup.
Guiseley U16’s won the Craven 'A League' for the second year
running, winning this season by an impressive 11 point margin
finishing the season on 39 points with Undercliffe Celtic
and Stanningley Albion sharing the runners up spot on 28 points.
The Craven 'A League' has been recognised as one the most
competitive U16 leagues in the County with 4 of its teams
reaching the last 8 in the County District Cup.
Sunday 2nd May saw Guiseley U16 win Ilkley Town 1-0 in the
final of the Wharfedale & District Cup which was held
at Nethermoor Park the home ground of Guiseley AFC. Guiseley’s
Semi-Final opponents were Horsforth St Margaret’s who were
beaten 2-0
Guiseley U16 made the final of the League Cup after beating
Bradford Park Avenue in the Semi 2-0. The League Cup Final
saw Guiseley concede their first goal in 8 games
beating Fairbank Utd 3-1 which was held at Silsden on Tuesday
11th May.
